HUMAN BEINGS

dd-008-2

As human beings God designed us with a very high intelligence which is above other creatures.  As you know, we can analyse, reason, explore our imagination, etc.

All of us are clever in our own way, and it all depends on whether we want to push that extra mile. We are experts when it comes to scrutinising, and managing given situations or tasks.

We have a big capacity to process information, hence keeping some of it or filter out what we don’t want.

As you aware, we start each day with decisions and reasoning.  We spend a lot of time thinking about what we need to, want to do, don’t want to do, or didn’t manage to do, etc.  and end up giving reasons.

Jesus mentioned something that resonates with my mind from time to time; to imitate the attitude of little children.  There is a lot we can learn from children, especially when it comes to handling life, for they have in built godly wisdom.  And when it comes to learning about God, they’re very receptive.

They’re also very smart, but school can be a pressure ground, where tasks are decided for them. However, in their mind, they think about, why they need to do a task, and the benefits. In most cases, whatever  information they get fed, they’re only going to decide what they want to do. Which means, as they get older, thinking about what’s necessary for themselves is crucial.

I’m one of those people who believe there is no need to put pressure on children with intensive exams. We all know, it is good to learn the necessary skills from here and there, but to put pressure on a child to a point where they’re stressed out, and scared of school is something to  reconsider. (just an observation)

Going back to the first point, when you read the Bible, you get to understand that God wants us to use our thinking ability, thus thinking clearly through understanding and knowledge.

I remember the first time I heard about evolution, I got confused. The Bing-bang theory didn’t make any sense at all.  The monkey theory, that human beings evolved from a monkey didn’t make sense either. I thought to myself, how come monkeys are still monkeys and we are still humans. When I thought about God’s message, I knew the Bible is spot on. It explains everything. God’s word cannot be beaten.

The fact that Jesus used parables as a way of communication, indicates that God wants us to think deeply.  Secondly, he wants us to acknowledge that we need  help when it comes to understanding his message. Even though we are clever, God knows we are limited, that’s why he used Jesus and the Holy Spirit to play a crucial role, to help us understand his word (Holy Bible). The people who wrote the Bible had to be directed by God and Jesus, to avoid any errors.

Sometimes as you know, human beings can be proud, thinking they can figure out things without his help. Wrong. It is impossible without God’s help. For a pot without a maker, there is no pot.

The purpose of life, is to get it right before God.  He doesn’t want us to miss the point, in other words, he doesn’t want us to miss out, when it comes to his salvation through Jesus.
