THE RECORDS

We live in a world where our dates of birth, names, addresses, etc are recorded on a computer data base somewhere, but not everyone is recorded as you know, because such a process is not available in some countries.

Here is the issue, God Almighty has allowed us to copy his character of recording personal data.  As we are made in his image most of the good ideas that derives from mankind are connected to him.  In other words, we copy his ways of doing things, e.g. creativeness, law, healing practices, teaching, parenthood, friendship, listening, questioning, reasoning, etc.

We learn from the bible that God records everything we do – the good and the bad.  We may not remember some of the things we have done over the years, but God knows all the details.  When David who was the King of Israel at the time, committed adultery with Bathsheba, he thought he got away with it, but faced the consequences of his actions years later. (2 Sam. 11and 12). That’s how it is with all of us, you may do something thinking no one has seen you, but God has already recorded it with a consequence in mind.  So that’s why it is important to do the right thing in the eyes of God.

Everyone is under scrutiny; the scripture says, everything is laid bare before the eyes of God to him we must give account. Heb. 4:13. So how do we know we are going to be judged according to what we have done. God says it in his word. Rev. 20:12-15.

We also learn from the Bible, once your name is in the book of life you’re sorted.  It means you have passed the test and have made it. How do we get ourselves in the book of life? The Bible is our passport to the promised land – the Kingdom of God.  When you have Jesus in your heart and you’re obedient, you have a seal of approval.

As I said readers, I have to tell it as it is.
