LIVING FOREVER

Living forever is an inner desire for most of mankind. If we lived in a perfect world, where there’re no problems, and there’s total happiness, no human being would say I don’t want to live forever.

When I was a child, I used to read stories; most of the stories had a happy ending; they married and lived forever happily. And I thought, ‘wow’.

Nowadays, living happily forever seems like a fantasy to some people.  But let me tell you what Jesus said, which I think is gonna blow your mind.  He said, I’m the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me will live, even though he dies; whoever lives and believes in me will never die. John 11:25-26.  When you examine the scripture, you realise that he combines, believing and living. He teaches us, believing alone is not enough, you have to live your life in his teachings.

So, if you have another religion, or non-believer, that’ll get you to do some thinking.  In the end, you end up thinking what chance have I got here?  Other religions have a different message, which totally contradicts the Bible.  As mentioned in Bible, Jesus said, he is the only truth, the way and the life; and that means the Bible is the only reliable source of information we can rely on.  It wasn’t written by one person, it was written by many witnesses – true prophets and disciples of Jesus.  And if you understand how God Almighty operates, he had to use many prophets to convey the same message about Jesus.

The scripture says, ‘above all, you must understand that no prophesy of scripture came about by the prophet’s own interpretation.  For prophesy never had it origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit. (2 Peter 20-21) We learn from the Bible, that anyone who preaches a message contrary to the bible is a false preacher.

We also learn that God speaks through the Bible; he opens our minds to understand the scriptures.

So, the question is, how is God going to do it?  Firstly, we have to look at Jesus.  He said, he is the resurrection; we must understand why Jesus came; most of us know that he came to save the world; not only to save, but to teach us. He told us exactly what God said.

What happened to Jesus, is going to happen to us.  He came and died; afterward he was raised again. The scripture says, for as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive’. I cor. 15:22.  He also tell us what’s going to happen. (John 5:28 -30)  When you examine Jesus’ life, he was perfect in a human form; totally godly and holy; that’s why he didn’t sin. He did a lot of miracles, which only God Almighty can do.  After the resurrection Jesus did even more wonders; for example, he got into the disciple’s house, even though the door was totally locked. (John 20: 19-20) And then afterwards, he was taken up in the sky, and went back in heaven. (Acts 1:7-11).

We also learn from his teachings, that at the resurrection God’s people will be like angels. (Luke 20: 34-36).

We know that angels behave miraculously; at one time, the Apostles were in prison, the angel got into the prison to rescue them, even though the doors were locked. (Acts 5:19-24) The angels are invisible, but God can transform them to be visible. We see it in the Old testament, when God opened the eyes of the donkey to see an angel, but Balaam on the other hand, did not see it. (Numbers 22:21 -35) Some angels appeared in a human form; (Genesis 19: 1-2) Angels are operating in the world, but we can’t see them.

When you become a child of God, you become a very special person; children of God will enjoy the new earth and the new heaven. Many of us have decided to turn to God through Jesus; the biggest and the best decision of our lives. God has opened our minds to understand that Salvation in Jesus is more important than anything else in the world. And God Almighty will bless us abundantly. As I mentioned before dear readers, the truth has to be told.
