THE RULES OF MATHEMATICS

One of life’s lessons is to understand the rule of multiplication; God Almighty created mathematics, he taught us how to count; the main rules of mathematics, as you know, is to increase and decrease.

I’m going to focus on multiplication or adding up; Jesus told a parable of the talents; (Luke 19:11-26)  a man of noble birth went to a distant country to have himself appointed king (Jesus) and then to return.  So, he called ten of his servants and gave them ten minas. ‘Put this money to work’, he said, until I come back.

But his subjects hated him and sent a delegation after him to say, we don’t want this man to be our king. (many reject his teachings)

He was made king (God made him King of all), however, and returned home. Then he sent for the servants to whom he had given the money, in order to find out what they had gained with it.

The first one came and said, sir your mina has earned ten more. (he increased in faith a lot)

Well done, my good servant!’ his master replied. Because you have been trustworthy in a very small matter, take charge of ten cities.

The second came and said, sir, your mina has earned five more. (he also increased in faith) His master answered, you take care five cities.

Then another servant came ad said, ‘sir here is mina, I have kept it laid away in a piece of cloth. I was afraid of you, because you are a hard man. You take out what you did not put in and reap what you did not sow’. (he had very little faith, refused to increase it, had a bad attitude)

Then he said to those standing by, ‘take his mina away from him give it to the one who has ten minas’.

Sir, they said, ‘he already has ten’.

He replied, ‘I tell you that to everyone who has, more will be given, but as for the one who has nothing, even the little he has will be taken away’.

As human beings we must understand God’s way of doing things; as you know, we start as a small seed, then little by little we increase. It is God’s plan that we increase in faith, in knowledge (bible), in understanding, in positivity, in aspirations, in skills, in kindness, in righteousness, in love, in forgiveness, in compassion, in joy, in power, in perseverance, in giving, etc.

We have to build all those things mentioned above layer by layer in faith.

Jesus said, ‘I have come, so that you may have life to the full’. When you become a child of God, your purpose in life is to increase in faith and righteousness even in old age, and salvation is a final success.

The secret to happiness is to build layers of righteousness. Jesus gave us another tip of happiness he said, ‘don’t worry about life’, because worrying has a way of decreasing a person’s faith. Having experienced it, believe me, I know what I’m talking about.

I’ve learnt over the years to use my faith in every situation, and I realise when I do that, God delivers me from fear, and gives me joy.

This is the issue which many people are not aware of, when you landed on planet earth, God planted a seed of faith in you. A seed of faith means every human can believe in God. that’s why Jesus emphasised on believing first, then actions. Jesus said, it is like a mustard seed. It is very tiny, (I’ve never seen one, but some people have) but when it grows it become a huge tree. (Luke 13:18-19) There you are readers, it is all about multiplying your faith.
